National Assisted Living Week 2021, observed this year from September 12–18, was created by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995 to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. Especially in light of the challenges of the past 18 months due to the pandemic, this year’s theme—Compassion, Community, Caring—reflects the hard work and dedication of all caregivers in assisted living communities and highlights the importance of family and remaining connected to those you love.
How We Support You
We are proud to support your vital work by offering streamlined medication management solutions. Our pharmacy professionals understand the special needs of assisted living homes, allowing us to provide forward-thinking prescription services specially designed for how you operate.
Our medication delivery service is just one of the solutions we provide to make your life easier. We also offer our exclusive MediBubble® monthly pill organizers that provide easier management and administration of complex medication regimens. Because the pills are presorted in perforated bubbles with clearly marked medication dosing schedules, MediBubble® medications can be distributed by CNAs because they don’t need to be physically handled.
For independent residents, our vial synchronization service safely coordinates all medications with health care providers, so they are all filled at the same time, reducing the need for multiple trips to the pharmacy, as well as the risk of missed doses.
Benefits of Medication Management for Seniors
Of course, it’s important for everyone to understand what medications they are taking and why, as well as how and when. But as we age, our need for additional medications often increases, including prescriptions, over-the-counter remedies, vitamins and supplements.
Unfortunately, this can make medication management a bigger challenge for seniors, which can lead to potential interactions, missed doses, overdoses and other issues. Our innovative services are designed to address many of these concerns.
We know when we do our job well, it frees caregivers up to do theirs even better. That’s why we pride ourselves on designing innovative solutions to make medication management easier for individuals, assisted living, independent living and memory care communities.
